The Windows Universal C Runtime (included with up-to-date Windows 10/11).
About 311 MB of free disk space.
An internet connection to start the free trial, activate a license, export, publish, and use the AI assistant.
Optional: Python 3.8 or newer for the Landing Page Generator. The installer can install it for you.
Install
Run Canvasly-Web-Studio-Setup-2.6.0.exe.
Read and accept the license. The installer then checks your system and shows the results. If Python is missing, a ticked option installs it for the Landing Page Generator; untick it to skip.
Keep the default folder, C:\Canvasly Web Studio, or click Browse to pick another. Administrator rights are not needed for the default.
Click Install. Shortcuts named Canvasly Web Studio are added to the desktop and Start menu.
Leave Start Canvasly Web Studio now ticked and click Finish.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
The installer refuses folders that would be unsafe to delete later, such as a drive root, the Windows folder, or a folder that already holds other files. If you choose a folder you can't write to, such as C:\Program Files, right-click the setup file and choose Run as administrator.
First steps
Create a project with File → New Project (Ctrl+N), or open an existing page with File → Open HTML File.
Drag units from the library onto the canvas and style them in the inspector.
Click Preview to see the real export build. Press F1 any time for the built-in Help guide.
Your 7-day free trial starts on first launch. Activate a license key under Activate license to Export, Publish or export to WordPress.
Upgrade from Sidcraft Web Studio
The app was called Sidcraft Web Studio before version 1.6.0. Install Canvasly Web Studio over it and everything carries over:
The installer removes the old app and its shortcuts, without touching settings or projects.
On first start, settings and the license activation are copied to the new location. The old folder stays as a backup.
Documents\Sidcraft Projects is renamed to Documents\Canvasly Projects.
Your license stays activated, and existing .sidcraft project files and exported sites keep working.

Neither is inside the install folder, so updating or reinstalling never touches your work. Help → Delete Cache and Temporary Files frees space and never removes projects, settings or the license.
Uninstall
Uninstall from Settings → Apps in Windows. The program and shortcuts are removed and your projects are kept. You are asked whether to also remove settings and the license activation; the default is to keep them.
