Install VidCellar
Lite stands on its own. Install Pro only after Lite is active, then activate a license before you take paid checkouts.
Install Lite
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Upload the VidCellar Lite ZIP and activate the plugin.
- Open VidCellar → Videos and add a video.
- Open VidCellar → Categories and add the labels you want visitors to browse.
- Visit the Videos and Watch pages that activation creates, or place the shortcodes on pages you already have.

The heading on the Watch page is the WordPress page title. Rename that page if you want a different heading. If no published page title can be found, the heading falls back to Videos in Pro. Lite uses Cinema Showcase only when it cannot resolve a page title.
Install Pro
- Keep VidCellar Lite installed and active.
- Upload the VidCellar Pro ZIP from your purchase and activate it.
- Open VidCellar → License.
- Paste the license key and choose Activate License. An active license shows a masked key and a green ACTIVE status. An inactive license shows one editable key field and a red INACTIVE status.
- Open VidCellar → Settings and enter PayPal, Stripe, or a storage provider before you rely on those features.
Checkout and license delivery happen at license.bdc-tv.com. Annual plans shown in the Dashboard are:

Paid checkout stays off until the license is active. Complimentary coupons do not use that gate. If the license server cannot be reached, an already verified license can keep working during a 14-day local grace period. License expiration does not delete videos or existing purchases.
Optional purchases page
Pro adds [vidcellar_purchases]. Put it on a page such as My Purchases. Signed-in visitors see videos tied to their WordPress account. Guests are asked to sign in; guest playback itself does not require an account.
Deactivate and uninstall
Deactivating either plugin keeps database tables and video files. Uninstall keeps them too, unless an administrator first checks Permanently delete plugin database tables and uploaded videos under Settings and saves.
Protect video files
Lite stores uploads under the WordPress uploads directory and writes protection rules for servers that honor .htaccess. On Nginx or another server, add an equivalent deny rule so visitors cannot download files by guessing the storage URL. Playback goes through VidCellar’s streaming URL, not a public file link.
