Answers below come from the plugin screens and readme. Items marked TODO are questions a site owner is likely to ask that the code does not answer.
WordPress 6.9 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. The plugins are tested up to WordPress 7.1. Sidcraft Builder Pro also needs Sidcraft Page Builder 0.14.1 or newer, and it shows a notice instead of loading when that is not true. Chatting with AI in the free plugin needs WordPress 7.0 or later. These pages cover Sidcraft Page Builder 1.2.4 and Sidcraft Builder Pro 1.2.3.
Open the page and choose Edit with Sidcraft, or use the admin-bar link. Posts and Pages are editable immediately. Other public types are off until you enable them under Settings → General.
Sidcraft → Settings covers post types, maps, reCAPTCHA, Cloudflare Turnstile, CSS, fonts, performance, tools, and experiments. Colors and breakpoints are under Design System. See the settings page.
Under Settings → Advanced, set Editor loader to Iframe. Under Settings → Tools, turn on Safe mode for your account. Safe mode loads the editor without other plugins and without the theme.
Units Manager can disable a type or hide it from your role. Nested Tabs, Accordion, and Toggle, Collection Loop, and Grid container can also be switched off under Settings → Features. Shop units are absent unless WooCommerce is active. Pro units are absent unless Sidcraft Pro has started. SCB units can be turned off under Settings → SCB Widgets, and each form styler appears only while its form plugin is active.
Right-click a Container or Grid and choose Save as Template. Place it later with the Template unit, the shortcode [sidcraft_page_builder_template id="42"], the Sidcraft Page Builder Template block, or the Sidcraft Template sidebar widget.
Roles you exclude still see the live site. Administrator is excluded by default. Coming soon keeps a normal response. Maintenance uses HTTP 503. Visitors see the template you pick, or a built-in page if you pick none.
The files do not name a plugin they refuse to run beside. On the normal WordPress editing screen, Sidcraft does not load its full editor. The Template block and the Edit with Sidcraft launcher still appear. You can also turn off Sidcraft’s default colors and fonts so the theme keeps those.
TODO: No control, menu, or stylesheet in the Sidcraft or Sidcraft Pro source uses the name “pink tab.” The settings panel tabs in the code are Content, Style, and Advanced. Confirm with a screenshot which control you mean before this answer is written.
Use Sidcraft → Settings → Tools → Replace URL. Run Dry run first. The replacement cannot be undone from that screen.
The Form unit sends to the recipient you set on that unit, and it can show a custom success message. Spam checks are a honeypot, Google reCAPTCHA when that feature and the keys are set, or Cloudflare Turnstile. With Turnstile, Submit stays disabled until the visitor passes the check, and the server verifies the token. Pro can also email, call a webhook, or redirect after submit, and it can store submissions when “Save form submissions” is on. Sidcraft Page Builder 1.2.1 and later also keep a copy under Sidcraft → Form Entries, even when the email fails. Pro’s Submissions log takes over while the Pro license is active.
Popup templates print in the footer, hidden, and open from load, scroll, click, exit, and inactivity triggers. Frequency uses a cookie from this site. A link action can open a popup.
Settings → Tools keeps previous plugin zips. The default is to keep 3, and you can keep from 1 to 10. The rollback list is on that tools screen when a zip has been stored.
TODO: The exact button label visitors of the tools screen use to restore a zip should be confirmed on a site that already has a stored zip. The code adds the rollback tools screen there.
Design System and the editor’s Site Settings are for people with Full access in Role Manager. Content-only users can edit page content and do not see Style and Advanced. Administrators always have Full access.
Under Sidcraft → Settings → SCB Widgets → Integrations, with Sidcraft Builder Pro 0.13.0 or newer and Sidcraft Page Builder 0.14.4 or newer. Google Map uses the Google Maps key. Business Reviews uses the Google Places and Yelp keys. Login Form and User Registration Form use the reCAPTCHA v3 keys, the Google client ID, and the Facebook app ID and secret. Social Share uses the Facebook access token for share counts. Instagram Feed and X Feed use their own app keys.
An editing layer in Sidcraft. The XEditor button in the top bar inserts Div Block, Flexbox, Grid, Heading, Paragraph, Image, and Button. Each prints one HTML element. Classes and variables are global. Loop tokens such as {{post.title}} render only with Sidcraft Pro. Without Pro, those loops stay in the page data and are not rendered.
A chat panel in the Sidcraft editor, opened with the AI Chat Bot button next to XEditor or Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+A. Describe a change, such as a new pricing section or new button colors, and it answers with a plan. Preview the plan on the canvas, untick steps you don’t want, and apply it as one undo step. Revert undoes it later. Nothing is saved until you save the page. See AI Chat Bot.
Not in Sidcraft. The free plugin uses the AI Client built into WordPress 7.0 and later. An administrator connects a provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google once under Settings → Connectors, and every plugin that uses AI shares it. Sidcraft Page Builder stores no AI key. With Sidcraft Builder Pro, the chat can use the provider and key saved on Sidcraft → AI Connectivity instead.
The WordPress AI Client that the free plugin uses arrived in WordPress 7.0. On WordPress 6.9, update WordPress to chat. HTML import works without it. With an active Sidcraft Builder Pro license and a provider saved on AI Connectivity, the chat uses that provider instead.
HTML, yes, in both plugins and without AI. Attach an HTML or CSS file up to 2 MB, or paste HTML into the chat. Flex and grid layouts, classes, and CSS variables become native XEditor layout, classes, and design variables. Screenshots, wireframes, and mockups need Sidcraft Builder Pro with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Azure OpenAI on AI Connectivity.
Your messages and an outline of the page, or of the selected unit, go to the AI provider. Images go only when you attach them. The conversation is kept in your browser for that page, not on the server. Each person can send up to 20 messages a minute.
That form requires Cloudflare Turnstile. The button stays off until the visitor completes the check, then it turns on. It locks again if the token expires or after it is used, because each token works once. Add keys under Sidcraft → Settings → Integrations → Cloudflare Turnstile. If the button never turns on, confirm the site key allows this domain and that nothing blocks challenges.cloudflare.com.
Meta retired the Like and Recommend button and the Comments box for third-party websites on February 10, 2026. Sidcraft Pro prints a plain link for Facebook Button and Facebook Comments instead of loading those SDK widgets. Facebook Embed and Facebook Page still use the Facebook SDK.
Drag it onto Drag widget here. The area highlights while the unit is over it. In Sidcraft Page Builder 0.15.2 and later, that drop creates a container with the unit inside it, and one Undo removes both. Container, Grid, and Inner Section are placed on the page directly. Moving an existing unit there also wraps it in a new container. This works in Firefox as of 0.15.4. If a drop is ignored, add ?dnd_debug=1 to the editor address to show a log of the drag.
From 0.15.4, the second copy stays idle. The Plugins screen says which copy is already running and which one to delete. Your pages and settings are kept. Deactivate and delete the extra copy.
From 0.13.2, after an administrator logs in to wp-admin, an active and licensed copy asks canvasly.pro for a newer build. The zip is not public. It appears on Plugins and Dashboard → Updates, and nothing is installed until you click Update now. Pro 1.2.3 is the current build these pages describe. It still needs Sidcraft Page Builder 0.14.1 or newer, and its AI Chat Bot engine needs 1.2.1 or newer.
Since 0.15.0, each save that changes a layout also writes a readable copy into the post content as WordPress blocks. Search, feeds, excerpts, and SEO plugins see that copy. Turn it off under Settings → Advanced → Readable fallback content. Fill in older pages with wp sidcraft-page-builder fallback.
