Member area
Open VidCellar → Member Area. Regular members stay on the front of the site. Logging in or registering sends them to their account page instead of wp-admin.
| Shortcode | Page |
|---|---|
[vidcellar_account] | Profile, edit profile, account settings, my videos, my membership |
[vidcellar_login] | Log in, remember me, forgot password |
[vidcellar_register] | Register, with password confirmation, a honeypot, and an optional terms box |
[vidcellar_member_menu] | Log in / Register, or My account / Log out |
The pages are created the first time an administrator opens wp-admin after updating. Pick different pages, or recreate them, on the Member Area screen.
Profile shows that member’s own name, username, private email, account type, membership, and stats. Edit profile changes name, display name, website, bio, and a profile photo. Account settings change email and password after the current password is confirmed, and can offer Delete my account. My videos lists purchases and access end dates. My membership shows VidCellar plans and active plans from WooCommerce Memberships, MemberPress, Restrict Content Pro, or Paid Memberships Pro, plus renew and cancel. Members only see their own rows.
Roles you select (by default, roles that cannot edit posts, such as Subscriber and Customer) are redirected from wp-admin to the account page, and the toolbar is hidden. Administrators, editors, and authors are never redirected. AJAX, REST, and admin-post requests keep working.
wp-login.php visits for log-in, register, and lost password go to the front-end pages. Password-reset emails, log-out, and a session that has already expired still use wp-login.php. Administrators can always open wp-login.php?vcm_wp_login=1. Add define( 'VIDCELLAR_DISABLE_MEMBER_AREA', true ); to wp-config.php to turn every redirect off.
Profile photos accept JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF up to 2 MB and are cropped to 300×300. They replace Gravatar wherever WordPress shows avatars. Registration supports CAPTCHA plugins that hook WordPress registration.
