Payments

Paid checkout is part of VidCellar Pro. It stays off until the license is active. Open VidCellar → Settings while Pro is active.

PayPal

• Client ID, shown to the browser so the PayPal button can load.
• Client Secret, used only on the server to verify a completed order before access is granted.
• Environment: Live or Sandbox.

Stripe

• Publishable key and secret key.
• Webhook signing secret. Point Stripe at the site’s vidcellar/v1/stripe-webhook address for the checkout.session.completed event, then paste the signing secret.

Choose Save Settings.

What the visitor does

On a video whose stored price is greater than zero, the watch page shows an email field, an optional coupon field, a PayPal button when a client ID is saved, and a Watch Now button when Stripe is configured. The button includes the price. If neither PayPal nor Stripe is configured, the page says to set one up under VidCellar → Settings.

The server checks that the paid amount matches the video price. A completed PayPal order can be redeemed once. An inactive license blocks paid checkout. A video stored at $0.00 returns a message that the video is free and does not require checkout.

The Videos screen in Lite saves every new or edited video at $0.00 and shows Access as Free. Pro reads that stored price for catalog cards and checkout.

Sales

The Dashboard, when Pro is active, shows total revenue, revenue by payment method, recent purchases, and a link to download the sales CSV. VidCellar → Sales Report lists paid rentals only: date in UTC, customer, email, video, category, amount in USD, method, and reference. Complimentary coupon redemptions are excluded from the totals and from the CSV.
