Videos

Open VidCellar → Videos to add a video and to manage the ones already in the library. A category must exist before you can save a video.

Add a video

1. Enter a title. The title is required.
2. Enter a description. Line breaks are kept on the watch page.
3. Choose a category. The list comes from VidCellar → Categories.
4. Optionally choose a trailer from the WordPress Media Library. The trailer plays above the full video and is public.
5. Choose the video file. With JavaScript enabled, files up to 30 GB upload in resumable chunks sized under this server’s PHP request limit. The upload retries transient failures and can resume after a refresh if you select the same file again. Without JavaScript, the upload is a single request capped by upload_max_filesize and post_max_size.
6. Optionally choose a thumbnail image.
7. Choose Add Video.

Lite labels access as Free and stores the price as $0.00. Paid checkout is a Pro feature and only starts when a stored price is greater than zero.

After a successful add, streaming optimization is queued. The original file stays in private storage. Playback switches to the optimized copy when the background job finishes.

The video list

The list shows ID, title, category, views, rating, and streaming status. From a row you can:

• Open the public watch page.
• Edit the title, description, category, trailer, and thumbnail. Leave the thumbnail empty to keep the current image.
• Change the category with the row’s Save control.
• Add, change, or clear the trailer, then save that row.
• Choose Optimize for streaming when the copy is not already optimized. Status values are Optimized, Processing, Queued, FFmpeg unavailable, Error, and Not optimized.
• Delete the video.

Download Existing Videos (CSV) exports the current catalog, including titles, categories, views, ratings, streaming status, and creation dates.
